Where do you find your customers?

Kat Clarke

This week I posed a question to my community – where do you find your customers? And how do you keep them coming back for more? Its estimated to cost significantly more to find new customers than it is to retain them; each time a customer comes back it strengthens that loyal bond between you and them.

Some of the responses I had included: word of mouth, attending events, social media advertising, website, placement in venues, recommendations from others, cold calling. Ideas on how to keep customers included understanding your customer needs and providing a solution, customer service, providing great value, delivering on your promises, and having new products or services that they would be interested in buying too. One contributor pointed out that they remind their existing customers they still exist by regularly keeping in contact regardless of how often they buy.

Have any of these worked for you? I’d be interested to know if you have found customers using any of these methods, or if you have some fresh ideas that aren’t listed. Let me know!
