I got 99 problems, but a strategy ain’t one.

First draft that was, the original version that can still be found on ebay if you’re lucky. Have to say it was much better… No, not really.

Now you bees know I like a good ol’ fashioned marketing strategy. A plan of attack, a masterplan. A blueprint for bringing ducks into a row. Call it what you want – When a plan is defined, then you know you’re in a great position. You’ve got a beginning, middle and end to your story. You’re looking to a prosperous future – Marvelous stuff!

It’s not easy, though, is it? Or enthralling. I prefer watching videos on tiktok about the funny things dogs get up to far more entertaining. But until I can find a way to make that hobby a living, I have to side step that for a bit. Just a bit.

Now, should you decide those dog videos ARE a better use of your time, this is what you’re thinking:

  • You don’t know where you will find that next customer.
  • You don’t know how they are going to find out about your business.
  • You don’t know what makes you special.

Or you’re saying that…

  • You don’t care about making a good impression.
  • You don’t care what other people think about your business.
  • You don’t care about your future business.

Yikes. Rather you than me…

The reason marketing strategies are talked about a lot in small business communities is because they work. By planning ahead and setting goals, marketing strategies help businesses to focus their resources and make the most of their opportunities. Reviewing what works and what doesn’t is also an important part of any marketing strategy, as it allows businesses to learn from their mistakes and make improvements. Of course, marketing strategies need to be constantly adapted to stay relevant, but the core principles remain the same. That’s why marketing strategies are such an important part of any successful small business.

So if your willpower is strong enough today, why not give it a go, or an update. Use those bullet points above to fight for your cause. Those six arguments to my statements will get you on your way. Not by messing about with canva templates, actually write something down.

It’s your business, after all. Make it work!
