Print is dead?

I had an enquiry over the weekend about some design work – responding to a flyer I was handing out ages ago. So long ago in fact that I had completely forgotten the promotion, whoops! But luckily I keep back ups, and I’ve looked it up today – the artwork was created over a year ago!

Although I don’t run that particular promo anymore, I know what they were looking at which gives me a head start in a proposal that they are going to love… As much as I love social media, online promotions and all that shenanigans – don’t write off more traditional ways to get your message out there. Often overlooked by small businesses and start ups in favour of social media because of the overheads, its this stuff that hangs around much longer than you can expect, and doesn’t disappear on news feeds or pages of google searches. A year on, that flyer gave me a lead for new work.

TOP TIP – Remember the offline world too! you may be pleasantly surprised in the future with a reward for your investment!
